Excavation

In this workshop, students will learn how to conduct a small archaeological dig. Students will learn about the tools used, safety procedures and protocols on removing soil and keeping levels clean and even. Students will be able to dig a trench after this seminar.

Sections

In this workshop students will learn how to set up and draw sections. Students will learn how to prepare archaeological features before drawing a section. Students will then learn why and how to draw sections using vertical measures, intervals and scales.

Planning

In this workshop students will learn how to prepare a plan for publication. Students will learn how to draw a plan using different conventions.

Defences

In this series of seminars students will learn what defences can be used for what crimes, and how. Students will learn what the defences of insanity, automatism, and intoxication are and what elements need to be met for them to operate. Students will also learn to use some additional defenses including duress. Students will ultimately be able to decide which how to use each defences in relation to the crime or crimes they have elected to study.
